I’m William Sayers, I’m a 26 year old Doctorate Student from Wales, currently residing in Oxford, England. I recently completed my undergraduate degree in “Computer Games Development” at the University of Glamorgan, receiving a first class with honours for this degree.
Don’t let having “games” in the name fool you, it is (in my opinion) the hardest computing course available at Glamorgan. Covering realtime graphics, mathematics and an extreme amount of programming (mostly in C++ rather than Java) amongst other things.
Having completed this degree, I moved on to an EngD (Engineering Doctorate) post-graduate programme affiliated with the University of Exeter via the STREAM-IDC. I’m more or less permanently based at HR Wallingford in Oxfordshire, working there 9-5 conducting my research and only visiting Exeter for meetings. Every so often I have to go to transferable skills weeks also.
I’m a black belt (2nd Dan) in Shukokai Karate which I train in at the YMSK clubs on Anglesey. I’m thinking of taking up a different martial art in Oxford since there are no Shukokai clubs that I know of in the area.
